When you participate in the Anthem HSA 3300 Plan or HSA 5000 Plan, you are eligible to open a Health Savings Account. Your Health Savings Account:

• Allows you to make deposits with pre-tax dollars
• Grows tax-free
• Funds roll over year to year, so your balance grows
• Can be used to pay qualified expenses now and in the future
• Is portable and goes with you should you leave VET
• Is subject to IRS contribution limits
• Can be linked with your Empower 401K account
• Once your account balance hits $2,000 you can invest the amount above $2,000 via the Empower website
• 2025 Maximum HSA contribution is $4,300 per year for an individual and $8,550 for a family
• There is also a $1,000 catch up contribution for those 55 and older
